Gli accadimenti di questi ultimi mesi, se non degli ultimi giorni, portano la sinistra a porsi con urgenza alcune questioni su come affrontare l’opportunità offerta per il futuro dal risultato di Mirafiori prima, e dalla crisi, personale e politica, poi, che stringe il premier e il governo di centro-desta.
Come socialisti innanzitutto, ma poi come rappresentanti della sinistra del PSI e attivisti delle Leghe socialiste che stanno sorgendo in tutta Italia, sentiamo come ineludibili alcuni punti, per altro già ribaditi nella mozione che avevamo presentato al congresso di Perugia.

For these reasons we must i socialisti lavorino per trasformare il rapporto tra il PSI, SEL ed il PD, innanzitutto, oggi limitato alla sola comune partecipazione all’alleanza del nuovo ulivo, in una nuova grande forza politica unitaria, Socialista e democratica, in grado di ricostruire l'identità riformista della sinistra italiana, e di guidare politicamente l’alleanza di centro-sinistra.
